To start, the restaurant/ bakery is located in the oldest building in Napa (I think). The location is called the old adobe house and I can't think of a more fitting occupant than La Cheve. Their authenticity, their vibe and their hospitality. Then there is the quality of the food. Delicious, no wonder the line is never ending, especially on the weekends. No worries, though, you can tell they continuously think and strategize about how to make the experience better. They are very organized and very attentive. I have never had a long wait for food as the back of the house is on it and efficient!! Now, The food....I always get something different to make sure I am trying all their options. And I sample my wife's selections too. They have a menu that provides a decent balance between savor and sweet mixed with authentic Mexican food and their creative culinary twists. Cafe's and cocoa's are all good. And, they have mimosas. I come here frequently for the past few years and notice they maximize seating options and do their best at shielding you from the elements while sitting in the awesome patio. If I had anything to say about La Cheve, it would be the parking. They provide adequate parking for the average place; BUT La Cheve is beyond average so parking is limited.

Breakfast date in Napa and stopped at this gem. Super cute Mexican breakfast spot. Parking can be limited in tbe lot but there are street parking, restaurant is a little small in the inside so be prepared to wait awhile. You go to the register to order your food and pastries before taking a seat. They will take your food to your table. Our food did come pretty quickly. We ordered some fish ceviche (tasted fresh and yummy),chorizo breakfast burrito, tres leches pancakes (delish!!) and some pastries to take home. Food was good pastries were ok.

Yummy, loooong wait but can order drinks in line, so that helps. Housed in the Old Adobe, the oldest building in Napa. Got chilaquiles with chorizo and flan French toast. Great flavors, drinks and pastries. You pay for the Napa vibe- definitely trendy - great tourist spot, but I don't know if it would be on my regular rotation as a hometown girl. Checked it off my list.

The service, theme, food quality, and value of this restaurant is all wonderful. Definitely worth a stop when in wine country. We came before the morning rush around 9 and waited less than 10 minutes. You order first, pay and then the food is brought to your table. I loved that they decorated for the Christmas season as well. Chips and salsa, rice, beans all tasted authentic. Chilaquiles, chorizo, and asada plates all tasted delicious. The flan French toast was creamy dense and moist. Fun twist on traditional Mexican brunch. Would definitely come back. Can't wait to try the pastries.

WOW. Amazing customer service!! Parking can be a bit tricky as this restaurant is packed! And for excellent reasons. I was on my way home from Auburn and decided to take a quick detour. After typing in "best Mexican restaurants near me" into Yelp (thanks friends!) I came across this yummy looking restaurant. Form the street I saw this beautiful outdoor patio. There are some instructions as you enter inside. Read them! It helps ease of service on the kitchen and the staff. I ordered the guava and cream cheese stuffed danishes, the vegetarian tostadas, and a cardamom kombucha. Everything was delicious, the outside was lovely and every interaction with the team was so kind and gracious. I will be back.

Be prepared to stand in line for quite some time when you go, but make sure you order a drink for while you're waiting (we got mimosas)! The food was definitely worth the wait, and you can also order pastries to go while you're in line if you want to get a head start. The chilaquiles were tasty in my opinion, I do wish they were smothered in more sauce though. The texture of the chips upheld the entire time which was nice. The concha french toast was a pretty unique addition to brunch since it's something I'd never tried, and it was the perfect end to our meal! The whole restaurant felt very homy, with beautiful flowers outside!

Fun fact: this is apparently the oldest building in Napa according to the waiter, which was super neat to discover upon coming here. The building is literally so cute and quaint! The service was really great as everyone was very attentive to you throughout breakfast! The food was incredible and authentic! The baked goods were some of the best concha's I've ever tasted! This is a must try if you're in Napa! Couldn't recommend it enough!

La Cheve is an absolute gem! The food is bursting with flavor, and I loved the variety of pastries they offer! It's a perfect mix of indulgence and tradition. My friends and I were blown away that everything was house-made in their small kitchen. You can tell they put so much care into their menu. The concha French toast we ordered was to die for! If you plan to indulge in their limited menu items like the flan or concha french toast, go early. We arrived around noon, and unfortunately, they had already sold out of the flan French toast. Definitely coming back to try it next time! The ordering system was a bit unexpected, but it makes sense, given how busy they are. You order at the counter first and then are given a number to put on your table. That said, I wouldn't recommend coming here on an empty stomach, as it took a while to wait in line. However, the food was definitely worth it once we sat down! The only major downside is the parking situation. Their lot is tiny, with limited spots for diners so it can be a bit of a hassle. That aside, the service was friendly, the atmosphere was charming, and the food was incredible. La Cheve is definitely a must-visit spot, especially before wine-tasting in Napa! If I could, I would give them 4.5 stars.

Went for brunch and it didn't disappoint. The burrito de chile rellenos was amazing, great flavor .. I didn't have to add anything to it. Big portions and it was delicious.. I had to take some home..my fiancé got the carne asada and eggs and he loved it. The jalapeño biscuits are so delicious, def ask for those .. overall great place .. you do have to stand in line and order at a register but it's worth the wait and the food comes out fast .. and you can order Mexican pastries to go
